So, you wanna get into roleplaying and e-fedding but you aren’t sure where to start?
Fear not! At Ascended Wrestling, your nerdy ass Dungeon Master fedhead is here to feed you, baby birds.
The character creation tools I've made (you can find additional guides to the following in these links: archetypes, polish, wrestler types, wrestling styles, and move set arrays) are meant to direct and guide as you need them - you are not required to go through these specific steps. These creation tools are mostly for people who are new to roleplaying in general and e-fedding in particular, and need some help. If you use these tools? Great! If not? Also great! There is no one way to create and write for a character.
Your character is the persona you create to engage in a roleplaying world. In the case of Ascended, this world centers around being a wrestler in a wrestling organization. You may already have a concept of the character you want to play in mind, but might need some direction getting into more of the specifics. Here’s a way to help you fill out your character’s background.
You’ll need a twenty-sided die, a ten-sided die and a six-sided die. If you don’t have those handy, you can use a virtual dice set here. For whatever number the die comes up, apply the value on these lists to your character. Maybe you’ll keep whatever value you get, or maybe you’ll decide, when presented with that as your path, that that isn’t what you want. Don’t think of these as hard and fast rules. Think of them as ways to get you moving in the direction you want with your character concept. If you get contradictory values, don’t just re-roll right away. Think about how they might actually make your character more interesting. You may get some fascinating paradoxes that can make for incredibly compelling character development in your pieces. You might end up with a character you would never have thought of, but is a blast to write.
I’ll tell you some stories about the Kung-fu Hippo I rolled up in a TMNT game sometime.
But, I digress! I’m adopting a framework that Fuzion uses as part of its character development system.
Character Age
Roll a 20-sided die and add 20. This is your character's age. For example, if I roll 10, my character would be 30-years-old.

Who do you value most?
Why, I didn’t know you cared! Now that we know who, what is most important to you?
What do you value most?
Huh! Well, we all got our priorities. OK, so how do you see things around you?
Your Worldview
Alright alright...interesting. Well then, relax on that divan and tell your fedhead Ampersand what your childhood was like.
Early Background
Do you come from money? Poverty?

On a 6-10, it was your entire family.
Now roll your ten-sided die again and apply the value from the list below to your character's background.
Yowza. So, uh, how’s your life been since then? For every year your character is over sixteen, roll a six-sided die, and then go to the list indicated that you’ll find below to determine what that year's most important life event, if one occurred, was.

You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have your Ascended Gladiator! Roll a ten-sided die and apply the value to your character’s background

You should write an autobio, for real. What’s your situation outside of your wrestling career? Maybe this is happening concurrently with your employment at Ascended, or maybe this was your situation right before you were hired on. Roll a ten-sided die and apply the value from the list below to your character’s background.
Current Situation
So, how’s all that feed into your current outlook on life? Roll a ten-sided die or choose from the following.
