Hey hey, welcome aboard. Glad you've decided to Ascend. I'm Marcus, your Head Honcho, Boss-man, whatever. Let's get your paperwork filled out, then just hand it off to my PA Jodie by posting it as a new topic in this sub-forum with your name in the title. She's the one who goes over the profiles--I'm too lazy and rich for that.
You'll get a decent starting salary, boosted based on your experience, and a weekly bonus if you're holding a title. Employment comes with health insurance and dental, which is why your job title is listed as "Athlete, slash Promotion Agent"--Most insurance companies won't do wrestlers because of the high risk, so there's our workaround. It's not a lie--you'll be the face of the company as an Ascended Gladiator, so I expect you to make us look good. Got it? Good. Great. Movin' on.
Feel free to copy the forms below, fill 'em out, and post a new topic for my PA.
Note about move sets: Consider your base set to be 10 regular moves, 2 special/signature moves, and 1 finisher. You may add more to your set, but keep in mind there’s only so many moves your character can make in any given match, and having a list as long as your arm has the potential to be overwhelming to match writers. Most matches are only three paragraphs long, so it’s better to be succinct. As a general guideline, try to keep it at a max of 15 regular moves, 4 special/signature moves, and 2 finishers. Focus on moves that best communicate your character’s personality, gimmick, and/or background.
If you're not sure about any aspect of character creation, check out our Writing Resources section or contact Ampersand .

Think D&D! Divide 30 points up among the following characteristics, on a scale of 1-10. This will help our writers have a better idea of how to write your matches. Strength - how strong is your character? Can they throw people around like rag dolls in the ring? Dexterity - how fast and nimble is your character? Are they flying through the air and bouncing around the ring like a super ball? Constitution - how resilient is your character? Can they take a lickin' and keep on tickin'? Charisma - how charismatic is your character? Are they deadly on the mic? Can they get the crowd behind them?
