Championships
If a championship is vacated, a company-wide tournament of any hopefuls will be held to determine the next title holder.
Wins and losses will matter in who qualifies for title matches. However, all other things being equal, I'm going to look for people who are consistent, and putting in the effort. What does that look like? Collaboration, feuds and rivalries, submitting segments, thoughtful RPs, and posting character development pieces all come to mind as ways to stand out and show your character as someone who can represent Ascended. In all, who is telling a compelling story? Who does this matter to? Who is putting in the work? If your wins and losses are similar to others in the fed, but others are putting out more content, doing collaborations, submitting segments for shows, building feuds and rivalries, and consistently showing up for their bookings? I'm going to look at them first for a title fight.
I want to emphasize how much I value consistency. I will choose, 'Good and Consistent,' over, 'Amazing and Inconsistent,' every time.
A quick note about writing for a title match: While I am pretty permissive about what makes a good RP, if you're in a title fight, I expect you to make that fact central to your piece. If you're going for a title and your opponent or the fight itself are mentioned only in passing or a couple of paragraphs, you will lose. Period. Respect your opponent. This doesn't mean you have to lavish them with praise, but it does mean you need to make them pertinent to your writing in some way. They're a champ or a challenger for a reason. Do not make them an afterthought.
